Translation and Interpreting for the Slovenian Law Enforcement

GORR has recently signed a EUR 700,000.00 framework agreement with the Slovenian Ministry of the Interior. For the next four years, we will provide translation and interpreting services to the Slovenian police units in the following language pairs:

Slovenian-Albanian-Slovenian,
Slovenian-English-Slovenian,
Slovenian-Bulgarian-Slovenian,
Slovenian-French-Slovenian,
Slovenian-Croatian-Slovenian,
Slovenian-Italian-Slovenian,
Slovenian-Chinese-Slovenian,
Slovenian-Macedonian-Slovenian,
Slovenian-Norwegian-Slovenian,
Slovenian-Romanian-Slovenian,
Slovenian-Slovak-Slovenian,
Slovenian-Spanish-Slovenian.

Following the public procurement, the translation and interpreting agreement was awarded in order to supply the Police with the language services in its proceedings with foreign citizens. From tender submission to contract awarding, the procedure took eight long months, since it included many languages, while we and our subcontractors had to meet a number of requirements specific for the law enforcement department.

This is a milestone and a true accomplishment of the entire GORR team. In order to have hands on this important agreement, we started working on this tender last summer and kept with our hard work for several months. We are also very grateful for the cooperation of our 16 nominated subcontractors who make a diverse and multilingual group of native speakers, linguists, translators and interpreters living in Slovenia.

Hard work is yet to be done and we look forward to the successful cooperation with our new public client and participating subcontractors.
